Terms & Conditions – The Casual Goat
Last updated: 21 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase products from The Casual Goat through our website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. About Us
The Casual Goat is a UK-based online retailer specialising in football prints, framed artwork, authentic and retro football shirts, memorabilia, collectibles and gifts.
Website: www.thecasualgoat.co.uk
2. Products
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, sizes, conditions and prices shown on our website are accurate.
Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.
Where an item is pre-owned, vintage or retro, reasonable signs of previous use may be present. Any significant faults or damage known to us will be described or photographed in the product listing.
Please read the full product description and review all photographs before purchasing.
3. Football Shirt Sizing
Football shirt sizing can vary considerably between manufacturers, seasons and eras, particularly with vintage and retro shirts.
Where measurements are provided, customers should check these carefully before ordering.
If you are unsure about the size or measurements of a shirt, please contact us before purchasing.
For standard products purchased online, your statutory cancellation rights are not removed simply because you selected the wrong size.
4. Personalised, Bespoke & Custom-Made Products
Some products sold by The Casual Goat may be personalised, customised or made specifically to a customer's individual requirements.
Where a product is genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, the usual right to cancel because you have changed your mind may not apply.
This may include, where applicable, products produced with customer-requested names, wording, photographs, personal details or other genuinely individual customisation.
Please check all names, spelling, dates, photographs, sizes and other customisation details carefully before submitting your order.
Once production of a personalised or genuinely bespoke item has begun, we may be unable to change or cancel the order.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or we have made an error when producing your order.
5. Orders
When you place an order, you will receive confirmation that your order has been received.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
-
An item is no longer available
-
There has been an obvious pricing or listing error
-
We are unable to process payment
-
We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the amount paid for the cancelled item will be refunded.
6. Prices & Payment
All prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.
Orders over £50 get free nationwide delivery and orders under £50 is charged at £3.99
Payment must be successfully completed before an order is processed.
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.
7. UK Delivery
Our primary delivery service is Royal Mail, although we may use another trusted courier where appropriate.
We aim to dispatch orders within 1–3 working days.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Please see our separate Shipping Policy for further information.
8. Your Right to Cancel
For eligible standard products purchased online, you normally have the right to tell us that you wish to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without having to provide a reason.
After notifying us of your cancellation, you must return the product within the applicable legal return period.
Products should be returned in the condition in which they were received. You may inspect an item as you reasonably would in a shop, but we may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from a refund where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has reduced the item's value.
Certain products are excluded from the normal change-of-mind cancellation right, including products genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
9. Return Postage
Unless an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by your statutory rights, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted product.
We recommend obtaining proof of postage when returning an item.
If an item is being returned because of an error by The Casual Goat or because it is faulty or not as described, please contact us before returning it so that we can advise you on the appropriate return arrangements.
10. Refunds
Where you are legally entitled to a refund, it will be processed using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds will be made within the timescales required by applicable UK consumer law.
Please note that personalised or genuinely bespoke products cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind.
11. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If an item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, please provide photographs showing the item, any damage and the packaging.
Your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.
12. Authentic & Pre-Owned Football Shirts
Where a football shirt is described as authentic, genuine, vintage, retro, pre-owned or by reference to a particular season or manufacturer, we make reasonable efforts to describe the item accurately based on the information available to us.
Pre-owned and vintage products may show reasonable signs of age and previous use.
Any significant defects known to us will be disclosed in the listing wherever reasonably possible.
13. Product Images & Artwork
Product photographs and images on The Casual Goat website are provided to illustrate the products being offered.
Artwork, graphics, photographs, branding and other original content belonging to The Casual Goat must not be reproduced, copied, commercially exploited or redistributed without permission, except where permitted by law.
14. Availability
Many of our football shirts, memorabilia and collectible products are individual or limited-stock items.
Placing an item in your basket does not necessarily reserve it until checkout has been successfully completed.
If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you and provide an appropriate refund.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, subject always to your statutory consumer rights.
16. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect personal information.
